We are excited to be opening on Saturday 23rd January 2021 to coincide with the inaugural NZ Gin Day. We are launching three gins to market and opening our botanical garden bar for the first time.
We are running a Summer Series from our garden bar, providing a casual setting to relax on a picnic table or deck chair and enjoy some great drinks in the sun overlooking the gulf. The Summer Series offering includes:
Four frozen gin cocktails (developed in conjunction with The Clipper Bar in Ponsonby) and garnished with botanicals grown onsite in our garden. These showcase our three new gins paired with rose’ wine provided by our friends at Man o War, Cable Bay and Mudbrick.
Watch out for the frozen gin and tonic cocktail that will be on our specials menu from time to time, the first of its kind.
There is also a bespoke gin and tonic menu pairing our craft gins with a range of Fever Tree tonics, served in crystal goblets and garnished with citrus and botanicals grown on site.
Aperol Spritz’s and bottles of prosecco (as well as a comprehensive range of non-alcoholic drinks) round out the Summer Series menu.
We are also offering a range of antipasto, cheese and fruit platters. Where possible, we have sourced delicious local products, including the infamous Waiheke Island Scotch Egg. There will also be a range of food specials each weekend from our friends at Matuku Oysters and Island Gelato amongst others.
We look forward to having you join us!

Waiheke Island’s newest distillery is set to opens its doors on Saturday 23 January 2021.
Waiheke Distilling Co. – located on the ridge above Cowes Bay – is the creation of Liz Scott and Glen Cadwallader.
The pair chose the site on the eastern side of Waiheke Island for its breathtaking beauty and have constructed the distillery so it blends and reflects the farming history of the area.
“We were captivated by the heritage and soul of the area around Cowes Bay and were instantly drawn to this side of the island,” says Scott.
